Job Overview:

The Salesforce Developer's role is to work with business partners to realize the full capability of the CRM. You'll be responsible for design and development of customizations, extensions, configurations, and integrations. The Salesforce Developer will oversee design, development, testing, and change management. Drive highly visible Salesforce initiatives across the organization including building applications on the SFDC platform and supporting integrations with Salesforce.

Lastly, you will be an ambassador of the company’s mission, vision and values.  As a Team Member at Acceptance Insurance, you will be part of growing organization that continues to evolve and positively impact the lives of our customers.

This position is based at our headquarter office in Nashville but can be a remote position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Meet with internal customers to determine business, functional and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment

  • Willing to be hands-on in producing tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, status reports, project plans)

  • Integrate multiple systems with Salesforce, including internal proprietary and third-party applications

  • Develop, document and enforce application standards and procedures

  • Identify the appropriate technologies to apply to business opportunities while considering efficiency, functionality and expense

  • Prioritize, plan and track progress of simultaneous projects

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development

  • Software engineering skills with Java SE & EE (Java, JSF, SQL) preferred

  • Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and omnidirectional environment

  • Ability to work with others and without supervision

  • Ability to dive deep on data analysis or technical issues to develop effective solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible results (revenue opportunities, claims efficiency, expense savings, etc.)

  • Proven ability to work under pressure with deadlines

  • Comfortable presenting technical findings to business leaders at all levels, including senior management 

Experience/Education:

  • 2-4 years in Salesforce Development Experience

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred

Competencies Required:

  • Software engineering skills with Force.com Platform (Apex, VisualForce, Aura, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Unit Testing) a must

  • The ability to think strategically and implement methods to ensure procedures are completed at the highest standard

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Able to build solid internal and external relationships at all levels

Additional Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary.  Incumbents may be required to operate an automobile and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
