Job Overview:

As a Product Manager, you’ll be more than just a “numbers” person; you’ll play a vital role in creating and managing our insurance products. You will proactively build business cases, execute action plans, and continue monitoring the impact on the P & L. Combining your leadership and analytical skills, you will lead the analytical efforts for growth and profitability of states within our product lines. You will make sense of data from various sources, work closely with other groups and departments, and draw conclusions about how we can improve our product offering.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, not afraid to fail, and can define a vision and execute the technical details to bring that vision to reality. You must have strong Excel skills and have a desire to enhance and compliment those skills by learning how to use new software to help you achieve your goals. You’ll put your problem-solving experience and good business sense to the test as you develop project plans and present your ideas to co-workers and senior managers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze competition and identify market opportunities

  • Effectively analyze performance metrics and direct organization accordingly

  • Work cross-functionally to implement new products

  • Manage software tools for product organization such as Radar and ArcGIS

  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related emphasis or equivalent

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.  SQL Server knowledge is a plus

  • Must possess the ability to quickly learn, understand, and apply new software skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently

  • Analytical and likes to work with data; has the ability to look at different data elements and formulate a business case

  • Able to make sound assumptions and comfortable working in situations where data is incomplete or incoherent (problem solving)

  • An effective communicator both in writing and verbally

  • Ability to generate quality work product under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to embrace change and show flexibility in assignments and the work environment

  • Must be able to work independently with very little active supervision and possess initiative, as well as project management and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to propose research topics, see analytical efforts through to completion, and consistently provide ideas for improvement and innovation to current practices
