Overview

As a Team Member at Acceptance Insurance, you will be part of a growing organization that continues to evolve and positively impact the lives of our customers.  As the Director of Marketing & Brand Innovation, you will be responsible for driving the development, ideation, and strategic thinking of best-in-class marketing solutions to develop and execute against the company’s long-term growth plan.  Externally, this team member will lead innovation efforts and spearhead the efforts to drive the company’s overall positive brand awareness in the marketplace. Internally this manager will help to drive the interaction and brand adoption between departments and the office/agent structure and the call center.  

Essential Job Functions

  • Together with the VP, Marketing & Brand Innovation, drive marketing strategy, and planning. This includes a specific focus on brand strategy, brand building, offer development, creative ideation, messaging, media placement, and all related broad reach communication.  
  • Partner with the heads of each department to explore and implement innovative applications driving the business forward
  • Responsible for identifying and building relationships with key external partners to accelerate brand awareness
  • Develop brand activation strategy for the retail component of the company utilizing innovative technology increasing engagement
  • Lead creative ideation sessions across departments driving innovative thinking and implementation
  • Negotiate applicable external vendor contracts ensuring the best possible partnership agreements
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for and manage projects of key external agencies
  • Assist in preparation of company and senior executive presentations to showcase marketing activities and results
  • Assist in managing adherence to brand standards throughout the organization
  • Develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary for the company
  • Provide input to market and competitor analysis
  • Be vigilant regarding budgeting and negotiation. Ensure best pricing from all suppliers and partners. 
  • Oversee local activations and process improvements for internal customer service

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related discipline
  • We need a strong people leader who thrives in collaborative environments
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in retail or other multi-unit business, and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in marketing
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
  • Broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning and marketing, business and market development and planning and promotions/advertising
  • Must have specific experience with multi-market advertising (TV, radio, OOH, and digital)
  • Must have experience managing relationships with outside agencies
  • Must have keen ability to re-prioritize when diversions occur
  • Must possess effective negotiation skills
  • Must be accustomed to working in a “lean” environment and embrace the opportunity to wear many hats
  • Up to 25% travel required depending on events and local market visits
